Newbie..
Hi all, I'm new to Drupal/this group but I was wondering if this is the same or different from the happy hour and the user group monthly meetings? I don't really have projects to work on but would love to start being part of the TC drupal group and networking. Our school district is moving over to Drupal and I will be the main person for tech support. Also, what time is this - or is it all day? Thanks!
life's a beach
Hi melbs - Yep! This is just
Hi melbs - Yep! This is just an informal time when people who are working on Drupal sites get together and work in the same room and share. Many of us work from home, so it's a good chance to get out and see what other people are working on. It's very informal -- we're all just working in a room together. You don't necessarily have to be working on Drupal ... it's just the common thread here.
When it's at Boneshaker (most weeks), I'm there at 9am (or a few minutes after) til noon. Some people stay longer, but I'm not sure when they leave. It would be awesome if you came by!

Parking?
I'm looking at going to this to get some guidance on a couple custom modules.
Is there a parking lot available? or free on street parking? I'm not all that familiar with Minneapolis.
One last thing, this really goes from 9am to 6pm?
Hi there! Yep, your best bet
Hi there! Yep, your best bet is parking on 23rd Ave. There are usually plenty available right there. Most of the parking lot right in front of the store are already reserved, but there are three directly in front of the door you are welcome to use as well.
Also - the space is available from 9-6, yes -- but I know it's not always used that late. I always have to leave at noon. It is co-working, so it's not really a help desk setup. Anyone working on Drupal projects can come and work alongside others. We do informally ask each other questions -- but that's not really the purpose of the space. Does that make sense?
Have Fun
Sorry I can't join everyone, I am on a pre-DrupalCon vacation this Friday. Drupal On!
Was there today
I arrived as Amanda was getting ready to leave. I didn't see any of the rest of you. (Of course, there may have been others while I was out to lunch or after I left in the afternoon.) I'm not sure if the weather was too nice for more people to show up or if everyone was unable to get out of the office.
That said, I do plan to regularly attend the Drupal group meetings and Happy Hour events. I've just started working on a web site by myself. (Thanks to Arnold Chand, my webmaster for Swift Linux, for introducing me to Drupal.)
Hi Jason! It was nice to meet
Hi Jason! It was nice to meet you, and I'm sorry I had to rush out. Was picking up my daughter from day care. With the exception of next week (I'll be at DrupalCon) you can count on me to be at coworking at Boneshaker on Friday mornings. I know a few people had conflicts this week, but should be back.
See you later!
Amanda
