Updated with latest theme but status update notice doesn't change

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

status update showed a new Acquia slate theme available. I replaced my current version with the new one but status update doesn't show that it has been updated. Is there something else I need to do?

I re-downloaded slate and tried again. After awhile It seemed to work. Im assuming it was in the systems cache is why it still gave the update message
