www extension creates database issue

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I've imported a few sites into BOA without any problems, except for the last one (!) . I'm not sure if I'm dealing with a bug, this is why I'm posting the issue here.

Practically, I have followed the same steps for each site but the last site only works properly when not using the www extension. Adding "www" to the site's url returns a database error,

If you are the maintainer of this site, please check your database settings in the settings.php file and ensure that your hosting provider's database server is running. For more help, see the handbook, or contact your hosting provider.

All sites have a symlink redirecting www.example.com to example.com . All sites are going thru Cloudflare and have similar DNS settings

A           example.com           points to IPADDRESS
A           www                        points to IPADDRESS ( same as above )

I have attempted to clone the site. At first , the clone didn't resolve with the "www" extension, but after verifying the clone, the "www" symlink was created in the sites folder and now the clone is resolving with and without "www".

Re-verifying the original website didn't solve the issue.
