Contributing to Core

I'd really like to see an introduction to core contributions. How to set up a dev environment with CVS, how to find easy patches (to start), how to test the patches, and how to "correctly" format a report of my findings.

Hi Shawn

That would be a good presentation. I've done all of that stuff but not sure I'm up for a presentation on it (from a readiness point of view). Maybe something one of us (or someone else) can do for a future meetup?

We're still looking for a

We're still looking for a place to meet next Wed (the 27th). Both Hoppy and Davis Access Media are booked. Any suggestions for place that can accommodate 20-30 people in Davis or Sacramento that is projector friendly?

Can someone please mention this to SacDUG regulars?

Anyone interested in learning more about how the public access station in Davis going to be driven by Drupal is more than welcome to stop by Davis Access Media while we are working on this implementation next week. We would really like to get the local Drupal community as involved as possible. The Open Media System isn't just managing the content for the brochure-ware of the station, but all membership, encoding, equipment checkout, and scheduling. In Denver, the station is configured using Voting API and Fivestar. Shows with the most votes air more often.

Drupal is really putting the public back in public access television. While we continue to support the stations from Denver, these implementations always work better when there are local resources supporting the effort.
