Internal Server Error

CDbConnection failed to open the DB connection.

An internal error occurred while the Web server was processing your request. Please contact the webmaster to report this problem.

Thank you.

All the sites are running. A server reboot hasn't cleared the error.

I was in the process of installing a new platform and adding a new site to that platform when all the other sites started to redirect to install.php. Since I've had that error before, I verified every single site to clear that redirect. It's ok, there's only 5 or 6 sites.

After that , when trying to get into Chive to check the new database for the added site, I got the above error.

Any advice on what could have caused this error and how to clear it? Wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary... As for the 403 error , install.php , it's not the first time I'm getting it and I start to worry about this. Without sounding alarmist, I have to ask about the system's reliability.

This is happening on a dedicated server, running BOA 2.0.2 , on Debian Squeeze , all is up to date...

Clear your cookies (or at least the cookie set by Chive). You need to always log out from Chive to avoid this confusion. It was a known WTF issue in the past, but I believe it has been fixed in the recent versions, but not sure, maybe some regression introduced again etc.

HTTP Error 500

psegarel's picture

My website ( example.com ) was running on Drupal 6 without any problems. In order to prepare a migration to Drupal 7 , I decided to close the site and upload a landing page.

Since the content was to be migrated, I cloned the Drupal 6 version ( legacy.example.com )
Deleted the main site. ( example.com )
Created a new Drupal 7 platform
Created a dev site ( dev.example.com ) which I used to restore my local version

The dev site worked fine.

Then I tried to clone the dev site into the main site ( example.com )

Trying to visit the site produced a HTTP Error 500! I then cloned the site with a different name ( dev2.example.com ). No problem.

Reboot the server, upgrade Barracuda , verify example.com. Problem persists

I delete the site then try to add it on the same platform as a new site. Problem persists although I can access the user page with the login form. Trying to login produces the same error.

Nothing in the watchdog table. Disable all modules, clear the cache, delete cookies... problem persists... Flush the DNS cache... same result.

I then delete dev.example.com. Clone dev2.example.com to example.com, add the dev alias to example.com. Going to dev.example.com simply redirects to example.com with the same error.

Practically, example.com was working fine. I can create any subdomains and get the site to work but I can't get it to work on the main domain.

Thanks for your help!
