I've added this event to the calendar, but I'm also including a discussion thread here in case there is additional discussion folks want to have around this topic.
One thing I didn't mention in the event posting is our volunteer organizers. None of this is possible without these fantastic folks:
Dennis Sutch, Department of Commerce
Kathy Dahl, Department of Commerce
William Brantley, US Office of Personnel Management
Diane Martin, US Department of Navy
Betsy Ensley, Phase2 Technology
Arva Adams, US Patent and Trademark Office
Jessica Richmond, Acquia

I registered a while back, but haven't heard anything back. I plan on attending and wanted to volunteer to help out as well.
you're listed as an attendee
And for offering a session:

We haven't sent any notifications through the site to attendees yet. We probably will when we announce the Afternoon keynote, but as of right now, we don't want to end up spamming the list, so we're planning to keep it to a bare minimum.
You can also follow us on twitter @GovDrupal. We'll be posting there frequently starting no later than Monday.
And, you are still planning to offer your session, right? You already have 5 votes and as of this morning, LDAP has the most at 10. Not too many folks are voting yet!!

Wow, thanks!
I guess I was looking for an email and should have checked the site first. Yes, I do plan on offering the session still, and certainly now that there is some interest in it.
I will be there all day, so if there is anything else that I can do to help count me in.
Session Submissions will be closing soon
So get them in.
Would sure like some more sessions on technical topics, maybe Features, Contexts, mapping, Views (who can't use more Views?), OG or how about a session on contributing to Core?
We have 4 rooms to schedule and a wide assortment of topics would be fantastic!
And the Security Room is shaping up to be killer!!
I'm so excited, I can't wait!!

Are there any Bofs planned? I was considering maybe mentioning the Drupal Ladder as part of the Boston Initiative, but I'm not sure it would be long enough for a full-blown session.
Thanks a lot for organizing this
I am looking forward to it
US Army considering using Drupal
We are looking to use Drupal for our enterprise global website. We know federal agencies (whitehouse.gov, letsmove.gov, etc.) are using Drupal. Our process will go much more quickly and smoothly if we can locate a government agency who is contracted with Drupal. This would prevent us from having to repeat processes already accomplished by the current government agency using Drupal. How can I get in contact with the POC from a federal governement agency who has a contract with Drupal? Or, how can I reach someone at Drupal who may work with federal government contracts?

We may be able to help
Hi Debbie
I'm excited to hear that the Army is considering using Drupal
I work for a company that does a lot of Drupal work with NIH SAMSHA and USAID. I'm not sure if our POCs from our projects would be comfortable sharing their contact info in a public forum, but if you contact me I would be happy to share their info over email and answer any other questions I can.
Feel to pm me on the site and I will share my email
DISA Forge PMO
Debbie,
One option is to reach out to the DISA, Forge.mil PMO. DISA's Forge.mil service in part is comprised of Drupal. Steel Thread Software is the integrator that designed, implemented and supports the Forge.mil solution for DISA. Forge.mil has an active Authorization To Operate (ATO) on NIPRnet.
DISA may also be able to assist you in your contracting process requirement supporting Drupal implementation.
I can also place you in contact with your POC at Drupal as well as the Acquia/Drupal GSA Schedule holder for support license and services if you would like information as well.
Please reach out to me directly at steve.macdonald@steelthread.com

we have a government only listserv that you can ask contracting questions or find specific contacts at specific agencies.
BTW: You don't contract with Drupal, you use a contractor who uses Drupal.
