Greetings all!
I am working on a project and could use a little help with some tweaks from a Florida Drupal Empire ace in the Orlando area. This is pretty basic stuff, but I'm a content dude and not a developer! Here's where I need a hand:
To add new rails to my right rail. This should be simple, but something is keeping me from being able to do it. I need someone who can show me how to create them and move them around as I please.
Add a teaser rail to my right rail with thumbnail images that link to other content. I have an example of what I want to do that I can show you.
Figure out how to get past my 7 mb limit on images for my pages. I could probably fix this myself but I don't want to do any damage by trying. Any image that I attempt to add to any page -- even if it's just 1k! -- kicks back to me as being over the limit.
I also need help on activating my RSS feed section of my site and learning how to add new content.
I live in the Orlando area and would like to be able to connect in person with someone who could help make the changes and teach me how to navigate a couple of these features on my own for the future. I'm not the expert, but I figure this is probably a three-to five-hour kind of thing depending on what we encounter. Plus, there might be some other work down the road.
If this sounds like your kind of mission, please email me at joe@idiganswers.com. Sorry for posting this in the wrong place earlier. Thanks!
Joe

Eh... I told you to post
Eh... I told you to post here, but no one responded! Anyway, I'm in Gainesville, so I can't help onsite. But, here's some tips on fixing some of the issues (this assumes you're using Drupal 7).
By "rail" do you mean the sidebar? If so, you can add Blocks to the sidebar under Structure>Blocks. From there you can create static blocks. If you don't see any active blocks listed, you may be using the context module. Let me know if thats the case.
Adding a teaser. This is pretty simple using Views (which is the true power of Drupal). You'll want to create an 'image style' for the thumbnail, and set the view to display that plus a set number of characters from the 'body' text. From there, you can add a Read More link. Create a block and use the blocks interface to place it in the sidebar.
Your images problem sounds weird. Firstly, you'll want to make sure that your server's php.ini configuration file is configured properly. See http://drupal.org/node/97193
Views can also do RSS http://drupal.org/project/views_rss. That being said, I believe core gives a default RSS feed.
Anyway, what you really need to do is hit up the Central FL Drupal Users Group. They meet the 3rd Saturday of each month at 1pm. You're lucky, because that's this upcoming Saturday. You should be able to have more luck in person.
Thanks,
