Hi guys,

I was wondering if you can help. I've recently installed Barracuda on a fresh debian vps. Everything went well however, i can no longer use the aptitude and apt-get commands for anything e.g.. updating os, installing other packages. i keep getting this message-

"Err http://ftp.uk.debian.org squeeze Release.gpg
Could not connect to host:port, connection timed out"

I've contacted my hosting company and they think its something to do with the Barracuda install. Any idea how i can resolve this problem? Thanking you in advance.

Kind Regards

Jasmine

ps- i left http wildcard set to no when i installed barracuda and i did not install dns (only csf and slr )

turns out the firewall blocks the commands and they work fine when the firewall is disabled.
