Hi there,
Recently I've been reviewing mapping modules for a NGO's Drupal6 website in Germany.
They want to be able to do something very simple: add an address (possibly via CCK Address or a simple text field) to a node (of type event, but selfmade, not via Event module). A map should show up in the full view of that node, having a marker at the place they specified.
Not wanting to steal your time, but has anyone done a similar setup and is willing to share their insights? I've been trying to accomplish this via GeoMap, Location, Nodemap and others, but somehow cannot come to a suitable solution... May I am missing something?
Any hints highly appreciated!
Regards
Sascha

Did you try a combination of Location and Gmap Module? That should do the job quite well allthough i think it is overloaded for most of the use cases.
cheers, Ronald
can be done with gmap & location
There's a basic tutorial on how to do this at http://groups.drupal.org/node/19614 - also a link there to a video tutorial covering how to do this.
Good luck!

Thank you guys!
I guess that should work -- at least for the prototype. Let's see what other things the NGO comes up with when they see a functioning map on their new website ;)
Seans videos are awesome, btw.
