Topics for June

Chris volunteered to cover Dev tools / Drush.

I think we're also discussing the Cincinnati Green project and the Oceanic Society project.

CINDUG Meeting Tonight

Yes, I'll put together some notes on those two projects and post them later today before the meeting.

dev tools / drush

Yup, I'll spend some time on drush, its a nice little tool.

Hopefully somebody else will have something to say about other tools they use. Otherwise, it will be 'demo your latest Drupal site' time I think.

We've also moved the meeting room to 3A - right next door to 3B, since it has a projector screen in the room.

See you all tonight.

Green Cincinnati Site - Basic Project Details

phil-roberto's picture

CINDUG members,

(Please share your comments/questions/ideas)

Here's a breakdown on what's going on in the Green Cincinnati Project.
I'll share a wireframe later.

RECAP------------------------------------------------
The goal of the site is gather interest in and pledges to go green
(environmentally sustainable) in the city of Cincinnati. The site will
capture pledges in 3 categories of citizens: WORK, SCHOOL, COMMUNITY.
The data is to be displayed via map to show where pledging is
occurring. Friendly peer-pressure is expect to help spread the word.
-Note: while businesses and schools will be identified on the map
individual households can not. Therefore a neighborhood index of some
sort will need to be developed/implemented.

A basic pledge will be constructed. *Anyone willing to extend their
pledge activities will be allowed to do so. This additional activity
should be displayable on the site - in the map. Perhaps a 1-5 star (or
green leaf) system?

oceanicsociety.org - Content Type Listing

phil-roberto's picture

CINDUG members,

There is a lot of low hanging fruit here. As you'll see below, this is a first Drupal site which barely harnessed the power of the CMS.

This is a list of content types currently used, and those that we need.
Please add your notes and comments, questions. The feedback and input of the group will move this along. Once we get this thought through and worked out to a punch list we'll plan a code sprint complete with food and drinks.
