I'd just like to introduce an idea we at YoungInnovations are trying to initiate. We're trying to organize a DrupalMeetupKathmandu (DMK). In this event, we're trying to get together Drupal enthusiasts be it simple Drupal user, Developer, Themer or anyone else who has embraced Drupal. The idea is that DMK would be an open event and like minded people can share their thoughts and discuss on any topic.
Since Drupal is evolving fast with Drupal v7 on the horizon, there are lots of things to discuss. We're planning to organize DMK monthly, possibly second Sunday of English calendar at 4pm. Any feedback would be apprecited.
Check out the basic idea for the event at http://drupalnepal.pbworhttp://drupalnepal.pbworks.comks.com
We want to make this event as fruitful to everyone as possible.
The event has been posted to Drupal Nepal Google Group as well at :

Looking forward to a DMK
I am a graphic designer. About 2 years ago I started using Drupal. As a visual person I naturally tend to work on design and theming.
Attending DrupalCon 2008 in Boston and participating in a few DrupalCamps and DrupalGroup meetings, I also discovered a great community.
It would be fantastic to have a regular informal meet-up, that brings together people involved and interested in Drupal. As a CMS and Web-framework, Drupal can be very complex and many struggle with various issues and It would be beneficial for users, developers, designers alike to have some face-time and informal exchange ideas and experiences.
I hope the DMK becomes a reality. I'm signed-up. If I can be of help in any capacity, please feel free to contact me.

rkeller
I am wondering if I missed the event?
Hello there drupal enthusiasts in Nepal.
I am wondering if I missed the Drupal meet-up. Somehow there is no follow-up on this thread here. However there seems to exist a parallel Nepali Drupal-universe on Facebook (closed source!?) groups.google.com/drupalnepal or drupalnepal.pbworks.com.
Are Nepali Drupal user aware of this group? Wouldn't it make sense to post all activities involving Drupal and Nepal on the groups.drupal.org/nepal page, rather than posting it on three different Websites?
It's just a thought, and might make the Nepali Drupal group much more atractive livelier and accessible for every Drupal enthusiast.
I hope I will participate in the next DMK.

rkeller
I agree
Yes, I agree with rkeller regarding posting all the contents involving Drupal and Nepal on the groups.drupal.org/nepal page. I've been trying to follow those three different pages for contents and most of the times I was totally confused. It was hard to keep track of which page contained the desired contents.
Is this group dead?
Hi there, jiggy from Phoenix Studios, and I am just getting into Drupal and theming. Is there an active group in Nepal? I think it would be hard, as I tried to start an Apple User's Group, and besides one or two others, there was not much interest. Anyway, look for my tech blog on the Republica in THE WEEK, every other week:)
Cheers
