Reaching out to the Mid-Sussex Drupal community..
I am looking to get a idea of interest for a regular Mid-Sussex Meetup, somewhere in or around Haywards Heath..
Nothing formal, just meet up, get to know who's around and chat about Drupal in general (amongst other things I'm sure)..
So..
Let me know if your are interested?
What day of the week would generally be best?
How often we should plan to meet up? Weekly, Monthly, Fortnightly??
or anything else you would like...
Make sure and spread the word too so as many people as possible can let us know if they are interested in a new user group..

Monthly, Tues or Thurs
I reckon monthly would be enough - on a week that doesn't clash with Badass. Tues and Thurs best days for me personally - I mind less waking up on Friday having known I've had a couple of pints than on a Weds however!
I say monthly on the basis there's likely to be some overlap with badass and that also I'd be surprised if there were the numbers to sustain it fortnightly or more. Also have a couple of other ideas - but will save that for a meet!

Monthly would be great, regular yet not a chore, something to look forward to. Free most evenings, Thursday is most convenient for me.

Count me in. I'm based in Brighton, but can't often make Badass since it's on Mondays, so a reasonably local meeting on a different night would be great.
My vote would be to meet once a month on a Thursday.

Seems the general consensus is Thursday and I agree that once a month is probably the right frequency..
The plan is for it to happen in Haywards Heath, I'll check out some venues and see if I can find something close to the station and preferably with free wifi.. You know, just in case you need to check your mail or something.. :)

If I remember the Brighton meet up is on the first Monday of the month.. So how about second Thursday of the month?

After a great and successful Camp at the week end, The mid sussex meetup should definitely get off the ground. The second Thursday would be the 11th October now, which is quite a while away.
How's your quest for the perfect venue getting along? I know of a few venues in the area, but being based near Uckfield means they are all only accessible by car, train connection between mid-sussex locations being fairly poor.

Haywards Heath or Gatwick
I think either Haywards Heath or Gatwick, from a perspective of trains would make sense, the latter being useful for anyone on Hastings or Arun Valley lines, as well as anyone joining from North or South of county

The Haywards Heath "strip"
The Haywards Heath "strip" has a number of Bars and Restaurants and is a couple of minutes walk from the station.. I think that's probably a good start.. We can always change it later if it doesn't work out..
I'm not that familiar with what's available on the non-departure lounge side of Gatwick Airport.. :)

I'm new to this so do I need to see if they have a separate space for us ( a side room or a corner ) or are we just going to mingle with the masses?? :)

7.30pm 11th on HH strip is good for me. I reckon we just mingle with masses - can't believe it'll be so rammed there that we won't be able to find a decent enough place. That said, I don't know the town that well. I'm happy to do a reccy though.
