For anyone interested in the Federal Digital Government Strategy and Drupal, there's a new group at http://groups.drupal.org/federal-digital-government-strategy.
There are three goals for the group:
- Convene a conversation about using Drupal to implement the Digital Government Strategy goals and objectives
- Collect and share best-practices describing how agencies are using Drupal successfully
- Organize the creation of common Drupal modules that implement specific requirements of the digital strategy
One of the immediate objectives is to begin scoping a /developer module that can be shared among all agencies running Drupal. The digital strategy requires all agencies to implement a /developer section that includes information on published APIs, as well as a machine readable API listing for discovery.
For anyone interested in Government APIs, join the conversation and tell us what resources you'd like to see on /developer: documentation best-practices, terms of service, authentication, automatic discovery?
Come on over and join the discussion.
