We should try to keep the running time of meetings to under an hour. If after someone does a talk or demo, and you want to discuss more but time doesn't permit, that can easily be done after the meeting. We don't want to get into a situation where the meetings run too long or they're not on point.
We're about 2 weeks out from our first meeting back, so we should try to come to some sort of a consensus as to what we'd like to chat about.
I'm wondering what everyone's thoughts are about picking a general theme or topic, and most of the chats would revolve around that topic for a night.
Some examples of some theme nights could be:
- Theme Related - Explore base themes, best practices, helper modules
- Entities Related- Add on modules, demo's, etc.
- Views Related - Using views, views modules, etc.
- Dev/API Related - all about different drupal API's
This would allow some of the talks to be a bit more cohesive.
If everyone likes this idea, let's try to get some form of a topic decided, so we can begin to take requests for speakers or presentations.

Since working at Teamspace, I've learned quite a bit. Somethings I've worked on:
1) Drupal 6 site for college students:
- created custom modules
- created text filters
- minor theming
- Ubercart
2) Drupal 7 site for models:
- Changes from D6
- Some theming for pages
- Devel module is wonderful dsm($node); and have the node shown in a collapsible tree
- Drupal Commerce install, minor changes through module, useful modules, PayPal module
- Generic drag/drop interface (jQuery)
- Created a measurement API for conversion between different measurements and created fields for them
- Userpoints module and supporting modules
- Created an entity using the entity API
I can give a presentation, after September 4th, on any of these topics.
