Where: The Millstone room at the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park
When: 7pm on the 20th
What: TBD (We typically have an open floor where all ideas, issues, questions, gripes, etc can all be discussed)
Missouri History Museum
(At the intersection of Lindell & DeBaliviere in Forest Park)
5700 Lindell Blvd
St. Louis MO 63112
Millstone Classroom on the second floor
Parking is available on either the east & west lots (although the entrance is on the west side so I'd park there). Enter through the door by the loading dock, past the security desk and through the hall, and up the stairs straight ahead to the second floor. As soon as you come up the steps to the second floor, make a right and the Millstone Classroom is just opposite the men's restroom down the hall.
IF THERE IS NO OTHER EVENT GOING ON THAT NIGHT THE FRONT DOORS WILL NOT BE OPEN!!!

Anything in particular
Anything in particular someone wants to discuss? I could maybe quickly discuss a few high-impact performance tweaks you could consider on different types of Drupal sites...
I can show how to use Twitter
I can show how to use Twitter Bootstrap framework to build the site in Drupal 7 and how to manage the projects the lean way!
selenium/phpunit
I could show selenium & phpunit for cross browser testing.
I have two topics that I'm
I have two topics that I'm interested in hearing how others handle them:
-What is the best practice (or your practice) for updating production sites when module/theme updates are available?
-What is the best practice for styling elements provided by custom module. For example, if I create a custom module that adds markup to a node's content, should the custom module provide styling or should that be in the active theme?
I'm also very interested in discussing Twitter Bootstrap. I'm currently developing a site that is using TB so I'd like to get other's thoughts/likes/dislikes.
I can tell you how I handle
I can tell you how I handle updating production sites and style custom elements. Though they may not be the best practices, they've served me well with minimal time offline.
And I, too, am interested in hearing about a Twitter Bootstrap, but my current need is calculating fields in webforms. I am just starting to implement jQuery and would appreciate any input or experience others have in the area.
twitter bootstrap too
I've been tracking the twitter_bootstrap module's progress for time and played around w/ it a little. Are other's using that module or developing their own theme from scratch or w/ bootstrap directly?
Just for reference, here's a
Just for reference, here's a recent podcast about Drupal & Twitter Bootstrap

Sounds like hearing about
Sounds like hearing about Twitter Bootstrap should be the first item in the agenda, and after that, we could open up to talking a little about project management (updates, etc.).
great, what kind of
great, what kind of arrangements do you have? sorry I never been to St. Louis meetup so I wanted to know do you have projectors with all necessary cables? I got windows machine and I didn't bring any cable to connect to projector.
The Millstone at The Missouri
The Millstone at The Missouri History Museum is equipped with a ceiling-mounted projector with a standard VGA cable. There is also a very large whiteboard which can be used for demonstrations as well.
FYI for anyone else who wants to present in this meeting space with a Mac, most times I'm able to get dongles for Macs (older style & new) but they often disappear so if you want to make certain you can present, I highly encourage you to bring your own dongle or let me know in advance and I'll try to make accommodations.
Low turnout, but good meeting!
Looks like we had relatively low turnout at this meeting; we had four people, but a great meeting :)
Mahesh had great presentations on Twitter Bootstrap and lean development methods (he talked about Scrum and Kanban). I think he'll be posting some links to the presentations or some of the things he discussed!
It was also suggested that we start trying to spread the word and keep people informed through Twitter (and any other means); I've had the @drupalstl Twitter account for a couple years now, but haven't used it much. I'll try to start tweeting events and other pertinent STL Drupal information, so feel free to follow that account.
I may post something to the main groups page about http://drupalstl.org/ and @drupalstl, but I'll wait until we get things a little better organized.
