Hi!

Our BAD Ass Drupal Weekender is shaping up to be another corker! I did a push the other day to get people to publish what sessions they are going to do and had a fantastic response - we now have 15 sessions proposed, including one which will be via the interwebs from Austin, TX.

There are currently 33 people signed up to come on Saturday, 22 for Sunday. This tells me most the people who have signed up are already Drupal people - I'd really like to get some more locally-based people interested which means getting the story out - to other places like Chamber of Commerce, The Argus business section, etc. Whenever I've tried before I've just had blank responses and told it's too late, but I'm sure the right person with the right connections can get us some local coverage so do please speak up if you are or know that person/people.

We only have one sponsor interested at the moment on the Silver level, that's £250. We really could do with someone who could take that on and talk to the other local Drupal-using companies and see if we can get some more interest. That person could also encourage them to join in the Brighton Open Drupal Studios day which we're doing on the Friday - at the moment I believe it's only Miggle who have shown an interest (unless I'm wrong sorry!) and Guy said he'd speak to the Sereno guys about doing something in their building, New England House.

Again, apart from booking theskiff none of the other stuff has been organised - food etc. (which I believe from Jo we order a week upfront so ok for the mo). Obviously I could do with some help there. Jam at Acquia has been working on a camp organiser's kit so I'm going to look around for that now.

Has anyone ideas on how we can spread the word about this locally?

When shall we move things forward? I could do all the above myself but I'm hoping people will stand up and offer some help too, that would be cool. If you don't know what to do, post anyway and tell us what you're good at and we can find something for sure, lots to be done!

Thanks

Steve
