To all London (and UK) folk,
Having just got back from a mind blowing DrupalCon Paris, we were discussing on the train back the possibility of starting a regular London based code sprint. Brightlemon would be happy to host and organise it - provide the logistics etc.
We would be looking to bring together a few good men (or women) for an inaugral sprint. Suggested focus could start with SimpleTest(ing) of Drupal7 (Big respect to Boombatower).
Any takers?
Suggested dates for a sprint meet up would be:
End of October
End of November
Mid December (unless people want to do a Christmas/New Year sprint?!)
Suggested venue could be the brightlemon office in Old Street although if we get a big enough group we would be happy to rent a venue - again most likely to be somewhere in Old St/Angel/Clerkenwell
Leon
(ps the DrupalCon code sprints were run phenomenally well - so if people want to input on the organisation/coordinating/facilitating as well as the actual coding/documenting then please feel free to do so)

Has no-one replied to this? Really? Or did it merge with the monthly meet-ups at the Square Pig?
I'd love this to happen. I'm learning D7 core (or as much of it as I can) at the moment by hammering the issue queue, so it would be great to maybe get a bit of mentoring from more experienced developers. Would provide a nice balance with the more social Square Pig meetups too, I think.
