We were kicking around the svn versus cvs chestnut, and I thought that perhaps we should make a proposal for making
the project / cvslog modules revisioning system agnostic. Basically separate out all the cvs'ey bits, and replace them with repository links that can understand svn / cvs / whatever a driver is written for.

This would be very useful
Get the proposal up there on Drupal.org. Try something different, though; state the requirements and goals, and then add:
"When you apply to complete this project, please identify the largest problems that you anticipate having as well as your proposed solutions to those problems"
The students are kindof in a bind with our proposals so far.... the proposals are so specific (in some cases) that they only really have the option of copy and pasting the whole proposal into their application. I want to encourage them to write their apps in a way that shows some of their thinking capabilities.
I agree
In our aim to become specific, we may have crowded out the applicants' creative abilities. :)
