Hi Everyone,
As I mentioned at the last meeting I registered our user group with O'Reilly. So what that means is:

I believe there is some swag on the way, which I'll bring to the next meeting.

I can request books from them for free for us to review or start a library. If any of you are interested in reviewing any book O'Reilly sells, please let me know. The request for books most go through me as I am the contact for the group and they don't want just anyone emailing them about books. Another thing, I spoke to Corey - ( coreyp1 on d.o ) - and he would be more than pleased to present via Skype or something similar in our February meeting. We can also likely get a chat some time with Travis Tidwell - with whom Corey worked at allplayers.com. That would be for another meetup, I figure.
Also, I know Angie Byron (webchick) is adopting a baby. This likely means a trip home at some point. She's told me that if it ever worked out that she was around when we were having a meeting, that she would be tickled to come out. Rock star show! She would be GREAT to speak with, as she's got her finger on the pulse of Drupal, its roadmap, and pretty much everything to do with it.
