Looking forward to this
I am pretty new to Drupal - and Florida too. I've been in the Orlando area for 3 years now. I just went to Drupalcamp Atlanta this week-end. It was pretty awesome.
I'd love to be a part of this one, and I've put it on my calendar.
That DrupalCamp capped attendance at 250 and it was full in almost no time. They ended up putting together a waiting list. They had great speakers and it was very worth flying up there for the day to be a part of it. I'm guessing it could be similar here.
I would suggest talking to the Atlanta Drupal Users Group and finding out if they have some advice/help. They may also have speakers willing to come down here since it is so close. Everybody I heard was top notch.
