Gainesville Drupal Users Group This Thurs, Dec 13th at 7pm
For this December's meetup, the Gainesville Drupal Users Group have 2.5 presentations!
1. Data and Feeds to suit all your needs!
Tired of trying to store all your data as nodes? Need to migrate content into your Drupal site? Brandon Ratzloff will teach you how to create, manage and import database tables using Feeds and Data Module! The best part is, it all works with Views.

1.5 Sublime Text Editor
Brandon Ratzloff will also be giving a half-presentation on Sublime Text Editor, which is an extremely popular cross-platform text editor. From their website: Sublime Text is a sophisticated text editor for code, markup and prose. You'll love the slick user interface, extraordinary features and amazing performance.

3. Followup on Version Control Systems (Git)
In addition, Dave Ingram will be discussing the principals and philosophies of Version Control Systems, and in particular, git, the Distributed Version Control System designed by the creator of Linux and used by the Drupal project. Topics discussed will be the ideas behind using a version control system and basic commands and tools to start using git in your own projects. Some specific considerations when using git with Drupal will also be discussed. Finally, hear Dave's thoughts on how git and Drupal truly can make the world a better place.

In addition, we'll have
- A [free] 20 minute Drupal beginner session/training for any newbies that attend
- A rundown of the top X Drupal modules - this is always one of our favorites
- Roundtable discussion - What have you done or learned in the last month that's worth showing off?
- A happy-hour / social event afterwards - probably at Harry's or The Top (both are within walking distance)! This'll give us a chance to nerd-talk over a beer or three :)
