This will be the initial meeting for people who want to join the FLDC13 Design Committee. Our agenda will be loose, as we'll be delegating tasks to volunteers and deciding on an overall aesthetic for the coming camp.
It will take place on December 11th at 4pm EST. The call-in number is: (805) 360-1000 - use the access code "183551#". Please note that this is not a toll-free call.
The agenda of this meeting will be to brainstorm about not only the camp site's theme design, but the overall design and branding of #FLDC13. We'll be incorporating the Drupal Diver as the main mascot.
Everyone who wants to volunteer is welcome.

Design and Branding
For the splash page, we need to think of three things: what will get someone who's just scanning through idly to stop and really look, what do we want them to take away without effort, and what we need to put in there that they can copy down if they are interested.
Under the first head, there were some good ideas: an aquarium or underwater theme with motion and of course our Drupal Diver logo.
Under the second head, what is the most important thing we want to say? Is it that there will be a Drupal Camp - assuming that everyone who sees this screen will know what one of those is - or what?
The third is where we put the descriptive language. Use short words. Identify where it will be held (by city, at least); when we plan to hold it; and in very general terms, what we'll present; what workshops and projects we plan to have; what we expect to charge. Put in an URL for a questionnaire and sign-up for additional information, with the usual disclaimer about what use will be made of their information.

How about a Dive into Drupal with an underwater scene including a treasure chest.
You could also include a Drupal Shark, D-Octopus, etc - make all the fish/animals Drupal images (maybe too much - but include the marine animals as well)
