Hi Folks:
I have been building a Drupal 7 social networking site called www.RealLifeEnglish.com for the past year or so. My site is getting very close to a beta release and I thought it might be fun to spend a 1/2 day sharing design and implementation ideas with others in a real world, hands on workshop setting.
If anyone is interested, we can spend a 1/2 day with other like minded Drupal developers at my office in Kanata and compare notes on modules such as Views, Display Suite "gotchas", whatever, we can build an agenda based on feedback. I'd like to host this free event during normal business hours and make sure the time is well organized.
I'd especially like to find someone who knows the i18n module & the whole multi-lingual deployment side to share ideas, but whatever people are into is fine.
I'd also like to share ideas with someone on optimization and scale issues. I run my site on a dedicated LAMP server and I would love to talk with someone who really understands mysql.
If you are new to Drupal and are just starting to dive in to modules such as Views, Panels, Display Suite, etc. let me know, maybe I can organize another free training day for "newbies"!
