We got a lot done during global sprint weekend and we are now able to start the conversion process for page callbacks. Conversion issues are tagged "WSCCI Conversion", here is a list of them if you are interested in diving in!
Both Crell & KatBailey among many others will also be participating in the sprint days at Drupalcon Portland on Monday May 20th and Friday May 24th. Please come on by, to one or both sprint days, and pitch in on the WSCCI initiative!

#335411: Cosmicdreams has broken this patch into smaller parts and is currently working on part 1. He and Dawehner have made some progress and posted a new patch. Part 1: Put Session onto the DIC but don't use it; Part 2: Modify Core to use Session but keep existing Secure Session implementation; Part 3: figure out how to do Secure Sessions with the Symfony Session object
