A site running Drupal 7, www.promodeler.com has users running IE9 reporting a problem where the screen doesn't 'right'. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to always happen. The attached file file shows the text-like appearance they're complaining about. Fortunately, selecting F12 and enabling compatibility mode resolves it, but users quite rightly complain they shouldn't have to do this to use the site. Anyway, while users of Firefox, and other browsers, have never reported the issue, I'm not going to get involved in the politics of browser selection. Any ideas?

I'd start by inspecting the css. You most likely are using something that IE either doesn't like, or doesn't support.
It looks like several
It looks like several stylesheets aren't loading. Not sure why. You may want to make sure that you are aggregating your stylesheets, /admin/config/development/performance. It is rather odd that it is only happening in IE9, though.
When in doubt, go downhill.
IE has issues with things
IE has issues with things like the amount of stylesheets it will load (31 I think), you can only have 4 or 5,000 rules in a sheet, and there's some issue with @import that I can't think of right now to name a few. I would definitely make sure you are aggregating you sheets as @Tom.Camp suggested and see if that fixes things for you.
Looks like it could be a Jquery issue too though. You can try checking out your site here and see if it comes up with anything http://www.modern.ie/en-us
