The Durban Drupal Group (DDG) plans on hosting its first event called "Bootcamp". This will be a very informal event, spanning 2/3 days, and its objective is to give group members (New) an overall insight into Drupal and its amazing technologies.
DDG has just been formed and will rely heavily on input from other well established groups in South Africa. We have quite a bit of interest and I will therefore make it a point to initiate until it gathers momentum and the group is established.
DDG is looking forward to contributors on this topic to guide us in running a successful event.

I need some input from the SA community about the type of topics that can be discussed and those willing to facilitate some. Also if their is already some presentation material floating around will it be nice to get hold of that.

Hi Ian,
This year at the JHB Drupal meetups we took a more focused approach to topics.
We decided on a small project, and all the talks/presentations center around it. You can view the basic outline here:

I would suggest something similar. Building a little web portal, brochure site, etc, allows you to touch on the various aspects of Drupal, pitfalls and surrounding technologies.
After all, speakers tend to have their own areas of expertise, and a small project will allow for a common platform for them to build there talks on.
