I've installed commerce_node_checkout but I don't manage to get it to work. I've tried to find some detailed description on how to use it, i.e. how to setup the content type, user role access etc. but without any success.

Is there anyone out there that can pitch in and give me a quick quide on how to use the module?

You may want to look at the following:

What are you trying to sell?

Developing Online Businesses and Knowledge Applications.

A few more hints for now, then get back to maintainers

Hi jonlar,

Yes, indeed, I took a quick look at the code of the Commerce Node Checkout module and was unable to find any documentation, Readme file or much help....

What's left is the repository with code files, see: commerce_node_checkout-7.x-1.x, which might not be of any use to a non-coder.

I haven't tested/installed/configured the module, but after taking a closer look at the code, it appears Commerce Node Checkout creates a new product type called 'commerce_node_checkout' when the module is installed.

I would assume this product type could then be selected to be referenced by a specific content type, as a Product related with a Node Checkout.
There seems to be a configuration settings added on the Content Type form, so if you went to edit basic page for example, you could look for "Commerce Node Checkout" or "Applicable products" on the page, which should be a field with checkboxes.

I would guess that selecting a proper product type would activate the feature and work:
When the node is published an event would be triggered and initiate the Commerce related logic (add product to cart, checkout, etc...).

Honestly, the module still seems kind of raw, in the the sense that it is still under development, so there still seems to be quite a lot of do-it-yourself at the moment. Therefore, I would strongly recommend that you try to perhaps get the help of a Drupal coder, that could further customize the module to better match your needs
(otherwise, if you're a Drupal coder, it's a great opportunity for you to try to help on the development and potentially contribute some patches).

Lastly, I really think you should try to reach the module's maintainers, because for someone who knows the module, it shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to write a quick README.txt file or even updating the project page, with a paragraph: "Installating and setup instructions" (that would save all of us a lot of time).

I hope these few basic instructions will help a little bit more getting you on the right track.

Thanks you very much for your feedback, testing, reporting and involvement.
Cheers!
