More and more organizations are choosing Drupal for content management and social networking, and its no mystery why. It's free, flexible, and easy to maintain. As a result, people who have the skills to design with Drupal are in high demand.
This class aims to give you the basics you'll need to understand how Drupal works, and allow you to adapt your design process to work with Drupal, instead of fighting against it. And you'll still get to do great design - really.

TAKEAWAYS
-Understand what makes Drupal different from other platforms and why it may be better suited for your design projects.
-Develop ways to rethink and restructure your content to best work within Drupal.
-Identify concrete ways to adapt your design process around the concepts of Drupal, and the structured content it provides.

PREREQS & PREPARATION
This class is best suited for:
-Web Designers who are used to working in other content management systems, or building HTML from scratch.
-Project Managers who are new to Drupal and want to get a foundational understanding of how it works.
-Business Owners or other stakeholders who want to understand what Drupal can do for them.

Basic web design principles are important components of what we will be discussing and therefore some web design experience is crucial to getting the most out of this class. However, no technical web development or programming knowledge is required.

Laptops are not needed for this course; however, it is a good idea to bring a notebook and some pens/pencils for note taking and sketching.
