Not sure if there is an actual group that physically meets somewhere, but there are certainly active Drupalers in Alaska :-)

Hello all,
It's so nice to see interest in the Alaska users group. I ran the meet-ups once a month in Spenard for about a year. I would absolutely love to get the meet-ups started again! I know of at least one other person who is interested in attending. Anyone have any ideas for places/times to meet? We used to meet at Sugarspoon on Friday evenings, but I would be completely open to other venues/times.

I am a developer in Portland, but from Alaska and I am making a trip up the 19th - 6th. Plan on moving back after I graduate. Would love to meet the community up there.

I moved up to Anchorage in spring but I'm a drupal developer from the LA area and I would love to attend a meet up.

I am not to sure of the best meet up spots in Anchorage, I know Sugarspoon was mentioned above.

If I recall correctly, we did Sugarspoon because it was within walking distance for one of our members. I have no preference, but I do like that there's coffee, a relatively quiet area off from the register, and they do have free wifi. We've only had small groups in the past, and it seemed to work okay. Places like Kaladi Bros. and Middle Way are fine, but they tend to get crowded and loud. Parking might be the only issue at night.
If someone has a better suggestion, that's totally fine by me. I don't have my finger on the pulse of what's out there in Anchorage, so someone with a social life -- please feel free to chime in!

I'd prefer any time after work (I have a 9-6 M-F job). While weekends are okay, Friday nights are now out for me unless it's the only time we can meet.
