Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

We would like a "quick" way to change a user's "Status" from "Blocked" to "Active." Right now it takes about 3-4 clicks, and then save the User edit form after selecting the "Active" radio button.

When there are dozens of users, this can be tedious. The website client doesn't want users to be "Active" until after careful review...

User Settings (admin/user/settings)

(Our setting is...)

  • "Visitors can create accounts but administrator approval is required."

Edit User

Status:

  • [x] Blocked
  • [ ] Active

Is there any module that could help us simplify this process, or is there a development route we could take?

Thanks!

Perfect timing

I'll be conquering this issue within 1.5 weeks here at work. Not sure if I'll need to write a whole new module for this or if the company I work for will want a custom back-end solution that ties into our intranet. I'll keep an eye on this thread, if no one steps up to the plate on this maybe we can work out a deal :)

You do know that you can

You do know that you can unblock multiple users at the same time from the user list page (admin/user/user/list) in Drupal 6, correct?
Not sure how it could be done easier... perhaps I miss understand.

Cheers,
Jamie.

In my situation I need to

In my situation I need to access the user's profile to verify that they've entered a business license number. If I could list all of the users information in a well organized page and approve/deny them all at once I'd be set, therefore I think I'll write a mod for this.

Fasttoggle is a lifesaver for quick block/activate from the user profile page. It also lets you grant the permission to block/unblock a user to a role without granting that role the ability to edit the whole user.
