Holy short notice Batman!
Seeing that I'll have to shuffle my schedule and my wonderful wife's schedule around to make the meetup, I'll probably have to do dishes & laundry for a week! Ahhh whatever, it'll be worth it.
Can I ask that next time a MadDUG meetup is set we get a little more than a day's notice?
Thanks,
_rs
My apologies
We're pretty consistent with the first Thursday of the month though, so feel free to pencil that in.
Ah, sorry for restating. It
Ah, sorry for restating. It seems you hit submit while I writing my comment =).
MadDUG meetings are always
MadDUG meetings are always held the first Thursday of the month, unless they aren't held at all. Usually the "agenda post" is made a week in advance.
The group is getting bigger and there are a lot of new people showing up (which is really great). So maybe we should have a short explanation of all this at the beginning of tomorrow's meeting?
Whowouldathunkit
I'm surprised this "1st Thursday of the month" bit never came up when I started asking about "what days work better for an impromptu meet-up" or the "what days work better for MadDUG meet-ups?" poll I posted.
Speaking of the poll, it seems more people prefer Tuesday's and Wednesday's ... well, 6 of them so far :)
There hasn't been a really
There hasn't been a really steady attendance for the meetup until recently. The group used to be a good size, but then it got smaller after some time passed and the venue moved. I think that the last meeting was almost the size that the group used to be, from what I remember.
So, what I am getting at is that a lot of information like the "1st Thursday of the month" is probably not widely known in the group anymore. In fact, I just assumed it was widely known until today. I think it would be good to have longer introductions tomorrow night and explain details like this. Just my opinion though.
As for possibly moving the meeting time around. I'll let Blake field that one, since he organizes the meetings =).
Poll
Sorry, I should have chimed in at the more opportune time. :-(
Moving time/day
I'd be a vote for not moving the date/time around if it does come to that. I'm trying to juggle a few other meetings times around and keeping the "1st Thursday of the month" is very helpful.
Just my 2 cents,

Time/Day
I won't be able to make it to a meeting until the semester ends. Unfortunately I have class on Thursday nights. :-( I wouldn't expect it to change, but thought I'd weigh in. I know I could certainly use some pointers on my recent drupal undertaking. Seems like my users are up in arms about my new site and observations from some druplers would be helpful.
Reference for Views Gallery
Here is a link to the Lullabot article that the Views Gallery demo will be focused on tomorrow. Putting it up now just so I don't have to hunt for the URL later:

It's all good...
... looking forward to the meeting.
First Thursday O the Month
I was checking this site daily towards the end of last month to see when the meeting would be held. Ended up missing this month's anyway. Now that I know it's normally held on the 1st Thursday of the month I'll put it on my calendar and show up regularly. Wouldn't an email reminder (like the Meetup groups send a couple days prior) to the group be helpful though?
g.d.o has email notifications
I'm can't really remember how to set them up, but I get emails from every post in this group. That's usually how I get the meeting notifications. I think the settings are on your user profile page.
email notification
OK, thanks for reminding me. I'm now set to receive email notification when a new post is sent to this group. That should do the trick.
amfphp module
Anyone using the amfphp module in combination with the services module to integrate ActionScript 3 content in Drupal. I'm having issues creating an API key. The modules install and the amfphp server (http://localhost/drupal/services/amfphp) reports that I may now connect to this gateway from Flash. When I choose the Keys tab (http://localhost/drupal/admin/build/services/keys) I'm greeted with a red user warning that "Table 'drupal.services_keys' doesn't exist ". Much googling later I'm still muddled as to what needs fixing. Is there something obvious I'm missing in the setup?
