Hi,
I am brand-spanking new to drupal, and to this user group. I live in Alaska, born-and-raised, and I travel a lot, but my home base is in Anchorage. I just came from NYC, where my cousin helped set up my drupal website. He did ALL the backend, installing the fancy template that I paid for, making the template work with my dreamhost account and getting the site to be live, with some modules installed and the basic menu structure installed and ready for me to upload content.
I've gathered oodles of content and thought about the structure and what I need the site to do. Yet, I am struggling with using the template (which appears to be really straight forward) - uploading content to the template and doing fancy things with the template to make the site look better.
I do have a small budget for someone to help me get the site to the next level. I also have some great trades that I can do! I can do bodywork, I can make a vedic astrology you tube playlist for someone, I have a beautiful table plus four chairs that would be a good trade, I am a performing artist and can do a private performance for a group of your friends, of either music or theatre. I am a fantastic hair stylist, (I don't cut hair, but I do styling) I am great at helping people shop for clothes and working with their personal style, I am super-knowledgeable about Alaskan Native history and cultures and can be a resource for newbies to Alaska to understand the landscape of Alaska better. I'm also very handy, great at deep cleaning things and painting.
I would LOVE to meet up with a Drupal person here in Alaska and either pay you for your services or do a trade. My project seems really straight forward, as all the back-end connecting stuff is already done, the template is chosen, the content is gathered, the structure has been determined and what needs to happen is just some basic communication with me about how to upload content and use some of the fancier features of the template. I am here in Anchorage until Oct. 22nd (I'll miss the meet-up group) and then I travel again until November 17th.
I hope to make a new friend! I can also share some traditional foods as a trade, so if you have always been curious about how seal or whale, or walrus tastes, I have all of that in my freezer.
I can't wait to be your friend! OH! And I get invited to all the best parties and gatherings. Thanks in advance!

If I can get more information
If I can get more information on the project (what features are needed, any styling that needs to be done, etc) I can see if I can do the project.
Feel free to contact me through GDO's PM system (https://groups.drupal.org/user/1244674/contact)
But if for some reason I am unable, you should be able to find someone at this month's Alaska Drupal Meetup. It's October 23rd (For info here: http://www.meetup.com/Alaska-Drupal-Users-Group/events/144214772/)
Welcome. The offer of
Welcome. The offer of sampling native foods has peaked my interest....I know, that sounds selfish... :(
Dopping in to say Hello!
