Our office neighbors, BombBomb, have graciously offered up their meeting / hangout space for us to use. They are also providing some beer for the occasion. Stop by early for pizza, beer, and a game of fooseball

For this month's meeting, we have three short presentations on a variety of Drupal-related topics. Oxbow Labs will provide pizza and beverages at their office, starting at 5:45. At 6:30, we'll start the presentations.

SCHEDULE

5:45 - Pizza, Beer, and fooseball at Oxbow Labs & BombBomb

11 S 25th Street, Suite 235
Colorado Springs, CO 80904

6:45 - Presentations Begin

TOPICS

1. Can Scald Replace Media?

Scald is a very promising media management library, but like all tools, is not without its quirks. Dan will quickly walk through setting up Scald as a media library, and discuss it's benefits and hidden gotchas.

2. SASS Mixins vs. SASS Extends

SASS is a powerful tool to make themers more efficient. Simple tools like SASS Mixins and SASS Extends are easy to grasp how they work, but not so easy to know when or why to use them. Brian will break down the barriers, and walk us through a few examples that demonstrate why they're awesome, and when to use them.

3. Build Flexible, Hierarchical Mastheads Using Menu Reference

For websites that are organized by section, a masthead containing a banner image and some text can help distinguish the sections. Winn will walk us through using Menu Reference to build a flexible, hierarchical masthead feature that can be used on any website.
