TinyMCE or FCKeditor

I'd suggest TinyMCE or FCKeditor, because they are the most compatible and easy to configure with the WYSIWYG module as I understand.

I haven't even tried any of the others because they have been sufficient for me, and there's always something more interesting than text editors to investigate. If you learn anything new I'd be interested in hearing it.

I'd agree.

I use both TinyMCE and FCKeditor, and it really depends on what the site is for and how many features are needed.

BTW: I'm new to the group - and I HOPE to make it in December. I've been tracking for two months but couldn't make the local meetings and wasn't sure I wanted hackfest to be my inaugural meet up..

You can see the tinyMCE in action here

What's nice about tinyMCE is you can select what editing functions are available to the user. Great if you want to keep the wysiwyg interface simple.
