Hello and welcome to another installment of "I normally go to [fill in coffee shop name] because they have good [fill-in-the-blank 1] and even better [fill-in-the-blank 2]." ... I'm your host, Dried Poptaert.
Yep, that's right ... time for another code'n'coffee. And you know what that means? Time to meet, drink coffee, etc. and chat about Drupal as well as all those crazy-cool Drupal project sites everyone's working on out there.
Again, this is an informal meeting at a local coffee shop. To make choosing a place to meet easier, I devised a cleverly simple and unbiased way to make that decision. I wrote the names of 5 local-to-Madison coffee shops on small bits of paper. I put them into a hat and then dumped'em on the floor (the ensure a good shuffle) 54-card pick-up style. And the winner is:

The not-so-lucky coffee shops are/were:
- Escape
- Michelangelo's
- Barriques
- Good ol' Starbucks on the square
... and with that out of the way, bring your laptop and a few bucks for a cup'o'joe, a muffin or a sandwich, and the tip jar.
Starts at 7pm and goes until close (9pm). Not the best hours for a coffee shop however, I called them today but missed talking to the manager by a few hours. In talking with the guy who was working at the time (and on the other end of the phone), mentioned that if enough people show up ... like 5 to 7 ... they might be able to keep the shop open 'til 11pm. I'll be sure to report back.
Lastly, if you look to the right of this post, where it says "Group events" or "Group notifications" ... you should see a handful of RSS links for the group and an iCal link to load into the calendar app of your choice.

'til 9pm still OK
I finally got a hold of In the Company of Thieves coffee shop owner/manager says it'll be tough to get the shop staffed for 2 additional hours in such short notice. So, should we make this coffee shop a stop on the MadDUG code'n'coffee tour next time OR should we choose a different place to meet?
Next Month for sure
I will be in Madison next month and I'm down to meet there then.

I was hoping that more people would respond but I can only imagine how busy everyone's schedules are with the time of year and all (school, holidays, 10-million other things planned, etc.).
If you are already planning on attending, great, please do so, In The Company of Thieves is a great coffee shop. However, I will not be able to make it this time as I had previously planned though I don't need to be there for fellow Drupal-ers to hang out and chat.
