I am looking for a solution for Multisite with common user base (not roles).

       Number of sub-sites -Around 75
Number of roles ranging from 50-150 per site

right now I am sharing user tables.Traffic expected to this site is around 4/sec.Content is coming all different sources.

Better Drupal Multisites

Drupal Multisite promises great ease and simplicity. One shared code base means hundreds of sites can be up and running in no time.

But there are hidden trade-offs for universities. For example:

  1. Single point of failure. When your entire portfolio’s architecture runs on a single code base, one site’s traffic spike can bring every other site down.

  2. Fragmentation makes upgrades risky. Differences in code and configuration between sites can cause significant upgrade problems. Most sites work one way, while others have different requirements.

  3. Costs. Universities spend thousands of dollars to maintain their platforms. How much do you plan to budget for resources, outdated technology, and people to manage it all?

  4. Scale. Multisite isn’t scalable or enterprise-class. Most companies with Multisite have 6 pages of instructions on how to make changes.

There's an alternative that lives up to the promise of ease and simplicity.
