Am currently integrating Mongo DB with Drupal 7.23 (Spark Distro).

Seeking advice on what to watch out for, best practices, workflows, and even hosting.

If you have worked on a D7 + Mongo DB configuration, please help?

Am going for just the very basic D7.23 setup for a social publishing site that will use Mongo DB to serve multimedia content to mobile apps and other digital channels via Express, Angular and Node.JS (mean.io).

Seeking advice on what to watch out for, best practices, workflows, and even hosting. Please help?

I personally had problems storing sessions in Mongo. I run an ecommerce site using Drupal Commerce and the sessions storage didn't work with the shopping cart blocks. I ended up just paring down to just the SQL and low level cache of Drupal. However, I am not looking at Redis since Amazon AWS now provides Redis as a service of ElastiCache.

Maybe the answer will be d8 (i hope). Amazon is fine but expensive a little. If You need cheap but good dedicated servers then you can see on hetzner.de
