SEO Tools Confusion

I am trying to implement SEO Tools for the first time and I am quite confused. I am using version 7.x-1.0-alpha6. I installed it using the App function. My confusion is that the install instructions I found in the Read Me file don't match up with what is happening in real time, e.g. "Scroll down to Auto configuration all appears nowhere. Also, I cannot find the Dashboard anywhere. That's confusing as the video you put out shows how to use the module via the Dashboard. Looking at the issues for SEO Tools, I see that it appears that perhaps that has now been broken out into it's own module and now I need to install that? If so I would have thought that would have been part of the App.

The bottom line is I have it installed and now I want to configure it and start using it but I'm not sure how to proceed.

1. Is installation via the App valid or do I need to uninstall and then install the module and all it's
   dependencies manually?

2. Do I just install the Intelligence module and then the Dashboard will appear?

3. Where will I find the Dashboard when it is properly installed/working?

4. Where can I find configuration procedures so I can get everything setup properly?
