I have recently upgraded an existing site, www.dance-ottawa.com, to drupal using acquia slate theme. Thanks - it looks great.
But I have an issue with the gmap module.
You can see the problem if you go to any dance school and click the pin in the map. This is supposed to popup details about the item at the pin.
The gmap popup uses white as a background colour for the popup, but the acquia slate theme is using its own colours for the text in the popup - making the popup unreadable.
Any idea how I can change the background colour of the gmap popup, or set the text colours back to the gmap defaults (instead of the acquia colours) for the popup, so they are visible?

Try reading here http://drupal.org/node/623234 - Haven't solved it myself because I don't know how to use a Patch and I can't get it back to Views 2.6 so hope for an update soon.

I also had that problem - that no text appeared in view 2.7, but have fixed it by editing the code as described in #33 in that section. That solved that probem, and now the text appears. But my problem is now that the text that appears is hard to see because of its colour - which is likely a css problem and a different problem than you are referring to.
Actually, I have now resolved my problem by changing gmap.css to change the background colour as follows

background: #292929;
}
