Anybody got any user stories / module lists for producing html pages with maps in them for offline use? Users of these pages will not have internet access when using them.
I believe that OpenLayers will help, but not seen any walkthrough examples of how to use it offline.

It depends on what do you mean by offline use.
Openlayers allows you to download the whole library and thus it will display the map's base layer even without connection. Leaflet does so by default.
Both modules would work for displaying entities that are stored in local database and show a base layer, but they will fail if you are willing to display external content.
offline maps
Can anyone tell the procedure to show offline maps, using mysql database.
I am facing lot of problems..i have open layers installed in drupal. i have some shapefile also to display..
I am not clear about the procedure..
