Two weeks ago we decided to organize Drupal Code Sprint in Donetsk. The previous one happened back in April, but this time it was a bit different. We didn’t work on Drupal 8 core, but on Drupal.org improvements instead. The notice was very short and so a few people took part: tvn, sanchiz, m1r1k and danilenko_dn.

Despite the fact that the team was small, we had some fun and fixed some bugs. Thanks to all the participants for their contributions!

Issues we worked on, most of them have already been committed:
danilenko_dn:

  • #2104275 Collapse Text format descriptions on node edit form
  • #2133545 Regression: updating an issue no longer redirects to your new comment

m1r1k:

  • #2125175 Make comment textarea taller
  • #2127629 Missing formatting in the Submission Guidelines
  • #2152395 Enable "Filtered HTML" processing to "Submission guidelines" field
  • #2126003 "Branch Test Results" order is random
  • #2132215 Validation for not allowing adding an issue relation to itself.

sanchiz:

  • #2129535 Security SA feeds have too many items
  • #2127375 Hide 'Revision log message' field on node/add/project-issue/x
  • #2134669 The tooltip is missing from "Change Records for Drupal core" node links
  • #2112421 Regression: assigned user is no longer automatically following the issue
  • #2159409 [Meta] Implement first iteration to improve issue queue workflow
  • #2159813 Display parts of the issue edit form instead of the comment form on issue pages

Special thanks to tvn for the help and organization of the event.

The work is still going on the most important issue - improvement of the comments form on Drupal.org issue pages: https://groups.drupal.org/node/390268

As a result of the code sprint, we got a working prototype done, which accelerated further work on said improvements.

Thank you all for participating! It was very interesting!
