I think this is the right place to post this. If not, please let me know.

I am trying to set up a site for soaps, hand creams, and bath bombs where each can have scents. Also, product sets are available for each that can have different combinations of sets, so the standard product kits won't work. The site owner would like to be able to do all this as well as be able to remove a sent from one location and have it remove the scent from all products that the scent is currently on and vice versa (add a scent to all products). Additionally, they would like to be able to also do things like apply a discount to one scent, for instance a holiday scent, and have that apply to all the products that scent is on.

The only way I can see doing this is to hook into the taxonomy hooks to add/remove options when the terms are updated or created. Then, use a custom to allow price modifications to be create based on a term and use the uc_custom_price module to handle the code this custom form generates since a percentage isn't available in the adjustments.

I have a feeling what I'm also going to have to create is section of check boxes like the permissions page to show a cross table displaying scent by product type (product type as column, scent as row).

In a perfect world, I'd also have each scent/product type combination having it's own possible page so it could have it's own page for SEO. I imagine this would just be an auto-generate product with the scent hidden and automatically set. This wouldn't be a problem unless they are adding and deleting regularly, which will start recreating products if a scent comes back, unless it's just unpublished.

Has anyone done anything like this? Any better ideas on how to do it?

Thank you much!
