The one thing we (Kiwis) took away from DrupalSouth in Wellington was: Drupal8 is great and we would like to help to make this happen. And as soon as possible.
The Drupal Wellington and Auckland Meet-ups will join together and organise regular Drupal8 Contribution Code Sprints (aka the Kiwi Drupal8 Pledge).

Sprint, all around, the world...
As we approach the nationwide sprint day next Monday, I thought I'd point out that our timing (deliberately) fits in with some worldwide sprints - most notably A full week of "Drupal Dev Days" in Szeged, Hungary.
By being first in the world in NZ, we get the jump on them and stuff we get done on core on Monday will be on the top of the pile of stuff that the rest of the world will be looking to review and commit before our day is even finished!
With enough eyes, all bugs are shallow
And rounding out the other end of the week, Ex Sparks-Wellington-meetup Alumni Willie Seabrook has organised another huge Drupal Sprint in Tunisia so yeah, that's cool!
Just though I'd share...
