There's always some interest in people getting outside the Drupal box and seeing what is out there... Kirby CMS might have some appeal for folks. http://getkirby.com
It looks like it should have some of the appeal of the simplicity of Jekyll (all flat files), while having a UI for non-technical folks. I'm not sure when I'll have a chance to play around with it (it might have been a good solution for a small gig I was intending to use as an excuse to play around in Ghost with, though I ended up just going back to a familiar CMS).
And it's in PHP. :p
