We've identified the following personas for site users:
- Visitor: has not yet committed to anything. They have not created an account or signed up to come to the event.
- Attendee: has signed up to the event by creating an account on the site and (if required) buying a ticket.
- Participant: an attendee who additionally has submitted a session, or is a sprint leader.
- Volunteer: an attendee who has volunteered to help with management of the event, either in the lead-up or on the day.
- Site builder: builds the site for the event.
- Organiser: runs the event. This may be the same people as the site builder role but need not be.
- Sponsor: Paid to appear on website, will be allowed to create certain content.

Would the Participant persona not be someone who has a session submission accepted? So they would be an attendee until the point the submission has been accepted?
Would there be the need for a Sponsor persona, if there was scope for themselves to manage their page content? or do you think that this would be handled by the Organisers / Site Builders?

Sponsor?
May I suggest that sponsors ought also to be included in the mix somewhere.
