The Harvard-Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking a web developer for the Harvard-Affiliated Emergency Medicine Educational Review (HAEMER).

The Harvard-Affiliated Emergency Medicine Educational Review (HAEMER) will be an interactive, community-driven platform comprising of web-based tools designed to meet the educational needs of the Department of Emergency Medicine at BIDMC. The cornerstone of the platform will be a website designed to host medical content, allow users to post/discuss material, and deliver training modules/videos. Users of the website will include physicians, medical students, and EMS (emergency medical services) personnel. HAEMER will have a robust internal component with personalized user accounts for learners to create and interact with medical content and track their progress in their training program. It will also have an external, public component comprising of filtered medical content to be viewed by the international emergency medicine community and greater public.

The ideal candidate will have:
• Drupal development and theme experience, including custom module development
• Maintenance and administration experience of Drupal modules and sites
• Proficiency with Drupal’s Coding Standards, approaches, and common APIs
• Strong PHP, CSS, and MySQL skills
• Familiarity with the major JavaScript libraries
• Strong front-end design skills, or resources/contacts to help you achieve these tasks
• Expertise at creating responsive websites with a mobile component
• Responsiveness to communication and requests

Commitment:
May 2014 – Jan 2015: Create platform
Jan 2015 – June 2016: Internal launch of platform to the emergency department
June 2016 – Jan 2017: Release platform to public
Jan 2017+: Maintenance
