This month, our call will feature a presentation with Drupal performance expert Tim Loudon: Drupal performance expert Better Decision-Making About Drupal Performance: A Beginner's Intro
In this presentation, we will briefly review how a website works. Armed with a basic understanding of the moving parts involved for serving the response for a given URL, we'll look at a few different technologies and settings to speed things; including boost, memcache, and varnish. The goal is to walk away with answers to questions like: "is memcache a good fit for my site?"; "can I install boost myself?"; "should I look at boost or memcache first?"; "what kinds of challenges will I have after I install varnish?"; and "how do I test the speed of my site?".
We'll also have time for your general questions about Drupal! (No question is too basic. Really.) And don't forget about Drupalcon Austin, coming up soon!
