I have a question about a Views Rewrite Results issue. I am trying to rewrite a Field Collection ID field as a link and change it to reflect the Content:Title as the link. When I output the field as a link and fill in the Link Path with;
path to view/[item_id]
the link works fine, but of course the Field Collection Item ID is what is visible not the Title. So, I hunted around and found I should use an HTML link in the Text rewrite box. In the text I set;
Only this does not pass the [item_id] in the link, so the view does not get the Field Collection Item ID in the URL as an argument in the view that it is linked to, Access Denied (which is what I have the Contextual Filter set to do when argument is not present in URL).
Things I have tried to fix this so far.......Added the field again and excluded from display and rearranged so that it is higher in the field order so it can be referenced as a token.
Added the
%2 == Field collection item: Field collection item ID title
!2 == Field collection item: Field collection item ID input
as tokens in the link as arguments.
I cannot find much information so far as why the argument or item_id is not being passed.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
