Docs are currently at https://omega8.cc/library/aegir-basics-index etc.
Did you notice that we wrote "Documentation will be available" at the new addresses? It is also clearly marked as "soon" in the README.
Please read also: https://github.com/omega8cc/boa/blob/master/CHANGELOG.txt#L151
Chill down
remember the taoist teachings, go with the flow.
while you are at it please
while you are at it please give clear instructions on how to install new relic, something more constructive than bitching at me because I point out the obvious flaw of lacking clear documentation and tutorials.
Dear Ckosloff, if you are
Dear Ckosloff, if you are willing to pay for it most likely somebody (not me) could be willing to write a tutorial or install new relic for you. Otherwise i'm not sure if you realized that the BOA stack and Drupal is open source. Documentation and code are added when the maintainers have time for it not when you want it. Posting kind of insulting posts like above makes it less likely that one of the BOA team takes the time to write the docs.

Hi Ckosloff,
If you take the time to read what docs are avail you will find
they do explain how to install New Relic, In fact is is very easy.
When you read the README file here:
https://github.com/omega8cc/boa/blob/master/README.txt
it will direct you here:
https://github.com/omega8cc/boa/blob/master/docs/cnf/barracuda.cnf
I believe it is just a matter of putting license key in the configure file and run main installer.
I think you could sound a little more appreciative to omega and
others that have put in countless hours in development of these tools.
You may also want to search for answers to your questions before posting them here.
Cheers
I really did not mean harm
I really appreciate omega8 and the Drupal community.
Big fan of open source, use Linux, aware of people helping for free, I do that myself when I can and am able.
It is just that rattling the door a bit sometimes helps to get results.
Proof is that I got two answers to a post not titled "new relic" immediately, and none for days to the one with the correct title, he, he, :-))
SUCCESS!
Congrats omega8cc for making it so easy to install this monitoring tool.
All that is needed is to edit (eg. nano as root) .barracuda.cnf and enter license key in appropriate line, no spaces after the equal sign and wrapped in double quotes.
Then run 'barracuda up-stable', you will see the moment when latest new relic is installed.
@muschpusch: another user and me are writing easy-to-follow tuts, hope to group those tuts into something more consistent, wanna help?
@reload: First, thanks for
@reload: First, thanks for helpful answer, yes, it is just a matter of entering the key, I got confused from reading outdated stuff whereby you needed to install it as root, etc.
do you use new relic? because I am wondering what happens next, I did not get any email with instructions on how to use it after install, oh well, guess I will have to find out on my own.
Answering my own question
To see results you just have to log into your free account at newrelic.com, which you created in order to get the license key.
It provides a lot of insight in all the processes running inside your server, memory usage, etc.
They give a 14-day trial period of their Pro version, so that is what I am using now, don't know what it will look like after trial expires.
