The Awards are open – http://www.webawards.com.au - and we're calling for entries and judges.
Please encourage those doing high standard work to enter as soon as possible. If you'd like to nominate a respected person as a judge, email their name to info@webawards.com.au and we'll follow them up. We're looking for accomplished people in each judging criteria; design, content, UX, development and accessibility. Being a judge does not preclude entering; obviously you don't judge your own entry.
We've added 'scope of project' to the judging criteria this year, to advantage ambitious projects over the straight-forward. There are also significant changes to the judging process itself. We take the judging seriously and are striving to improve.
We'll announce dates and venues for the events shortly.
Nominate for Committee
Nominations for the AWIA Committee are open until July 11th. Committee members are elected in an online poll. You can access the nomination form via our home page; www.webindustry.asn.au.
Please only nominate if you are in a position to spend an average two hours a week contributing. You need to be a financial member of the Association but you do not need a history of involvement. Experience in any aspect of the industry is valued.
Edge of the Web Conference
Now to be staged in multiple cities in 2015. We're currently preparing information for potential sponsors. If you're interested in speaking or you have suggestions about sessions, please email secretary@webindustry.asn.au.
